Chiang Mai First Church is to stage a fundraising
Christmas concert on Monday, December 12 from 7-9 p.m. in the
Dara Rasamee Room, Dara Wittayalai School, Chiang Mai for the construction
of a new building to replace the aged Salachan building. Performances from
Prince Royal’s College, Waree Wittayalai School, the Church Elders music
band, a team of singers from Thamma Pratheep Church and Sueb Santitham, and
a band from Dara Wittayalai School. Interested people can book seats and

Take a free sneak peek at the Night Safari until December
14. Amid all of the controversy surrounding the Night Safari — set to
open on New Year’s Day, — there is one popular move the organizers have
made: the grounds are open to the public, free, until Wednesday, December
14. If you want to take a picture with a tiger cub, it is 150 baht and you
can ask the Night Safari staff to load the digital photo onto your memory
stick.

Chiang Mai Cat and Dog Show, on the weekend of Dec
17-18 at the 700 Year Anniversary Complex, Gymnasium 2. Schedule as
follows: Saturday. December 17, 11 a.m. dogs, hound group, sporting group,
working group. At 1 p.m. Thai dogs and from 1.30 p.m. fancy dogs, cats,
rabbits and more domestic pets. Cat shows are from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. with a
Thai cat group (Siamese, Korat), Persian cat group (Persian, Himalayan,
Exotic) and rare cat breeds like Javanese and Oriental Longhair. Sunday
December 18 is reserved from 10 a.m. for terriers, toy dogs, non sporting
dogs, a student art contest, a dog agility show and a dog beauty show at
