Techaphan announced the upcoming 41st National Games.

Chiang Mai will host the 41st
National Games on December 9 to 19 this year, Deputy Governor Ritthipong
Techaphan announced recently. He said that the Sports Authority of Thailand
has approved 42 different sports for athletic competition.
These include athletics, swimming,
golf, tennis, basetball, billiards and snooker, and such internation sports
as Kabaddi, Karate-do,Takraw,
Taekwonddo, Pétanque. Wushu, and Pencak Silat. Standards such as football,
volleyball, boxing, wrestling weightlifting, rugby, archery and Muay Thai
are also on the list. Cricket and Netball will be demonstration events only.
The Deputy Governor said that more than
20,000 people are expected to attend the sporting event and that he is sure
that visitors to the the National Games will be impressed by Chiang Mai’s
beauty and attractions.
